Little Pawns The Unofficial Kris Allen Street Team A message to all members of Little Pawns
Hey guys! This is the first message broadcast to the whole group since we started, so I just wanted to give a big welcome to everyone who joined the Unofficial Kris Allen Street Team. The energy and enthusiasm you guys have demonstrated for this project has been so exciting to observe and I think we are in for a great experience if we all continue to work together to get "Alright With Me" to the top of the charts - which is the primary goal of the street team. To read more on how to get "Alright With Me" to radio, please check out Nick's detailed description of the "Alright With Me" radio push.
I just wanted to give everybody a heads up on our weekly missions. Elle has posted the weekly mission 'get' in the General Street Team category, you can read it here. The goal of that mission is to get the word out on the Kris Allen-Nekkid-Sleepwalking-Escapade to your local radio stations, entertainment blogs, etc. We've seen how much media attention has been focused on Kris every time he so much as takes off one item of clothing (AfterElton is perched on the sidelines every time, waiting for this to happen), so hey, why not make the most of it?
The second mission we have this week, and the most important one, is to sell out the Blackbird Academy of the Arts benefit on October 27, 2010, which is next Wednesday. I had spoken with Andy Davis, founder of Music Empowers, and Jennie Strange, executive director of the Blackbird Academy of the Arts, and they informed me that they are happy to have us helping them get the word out on this event and that there are little under 300 seats left, along with VIP packages for the intimate meet-and-greet and acoustic performance. It's really important that we are able to help them get the word out on this. Not only is this a great cause, but it's in Kris's hometown of Conway, AR. This is also our very first team mission where we are working visibly as a team to get something done. This could put us on the map, so let's get it done! For more info on the plan for this mission, you can head over to Show Promo for details.
I also wanted to let everyone know that unfortunately, due to limited space on this site, we're not going to be able to post all of your pictures and blog posts and videos. I'm sorry I didn't inform everyone about this beforehand, but I hadn't expected the site to take it off very quickly. When we can afford more storage for the site, you are more than welcome to post your pictures and add videos. In the meantime, the pics and videos posted will only have to be for promotional material for the street team.
Lest this get any more long-winded, let me just say that I am happy that we have so many enthusiastic and talented people on board on this project. It's so great to see Kris fans from all over the world band together to "put our best foot forward" (yes I went there) in order to help promote Kris. So if you haven't gotten into the discussions yet, I'd recommend signing up to your respective radio promo teams so you can start brainstorming ways for your local radio stations to play "Alright With Me". You are welcome to nominate your own regional captains - those who will be in charge of making sure your team accomplishes request goals for the week, spin monitoring, etc.
Now I know most of you would love to just do this stuff out of the goodness of your heart because I mean, what wouldn't you do for a hot guy, right? But to make the pot sweeter, we're thinking of giving away some cool prizes to those who work hard to accomplish the weekly mission goals. No, we can't set you up on a date with Andrew DeRoberts, or guarantee a sneak peek of anyone's man parts, but we're hoping a few trinkets here and possibly in the future more exciting prizes will get you all motivated to work hard to get team goals done.
